The Airport Itself

Antalya Airport (AYT), is the second largest airport in Turkey and services the many popular holiday resorts located along the coast.  It is situated on the South West coast of Turkey and is approximately just 6 miles East from the city of Antalya itself.  The airport is fast growing and has over an estimated 20 million passengers per year, a large percentage of these being holiday makers, especially throughout the Summer months.

Antalya is located in Southern Turkey along 630 klms of beautiful Mediterranean coastline and as a result, is Turkeys’ busiest airport and is also ranked as one of Europes busiest airports. The airport has 3 terminals, 2 International and 1 domestic.  Currently, 84% of the airports traffic is International with just 16% being domestic.

Parking At The Airport:  The first 15 minutes parking is FREE in the Domestic terminal. Terminal 1 has 474 parking spaces – Terminal 2 has 448 parking spaces – Terminal 3 has 386 parking spaces

Due to the very fact that Antalya is one of the busiest airports in Europe and has a very large amount of passenger traffic passing through it each year, the Ground Support that is in place at the airport is very good.

The historic city of Antalya is only 20 minutes drive away and is easily connected to the airport along the D400, also known as the ‘Gazi Bulvan’.

There are many forms of transport at the airport that will transfer you to and from your chosen destination.  As you can imagine, prices for transfers from Antalya airport vary, depending on the actual distance to your destination.

Antalya Airport Taxis: Taxis operate from the airport 24 hours and the prices are the same as in the city. You can catch a taxi from outside the arrivals terminal, where you can find a price list.  A usual journey from the airport to the city, is between 20-30 Turkish Lira.

Airport Bus:  There is a regular bus service that operate from outside the airport terminal.  You can catch a bus from the airport into Antalya itself and the buses run every 20 minutes during the summer months and usually run from 6am – 01.00am. This is a very cost effective form of transport and is a popular options with passengers landing at the airport.

Coach Transfer: Havas is the main coach company that operate from the airport and provides coach services to and from the airport to many of the popular destinations.

Antalya Airport Transfer To Belek

Belek is a very popular resort and is very accessible from the airport of Antalya. Passengers arriving at the airport who wish to reach the resort of Belek have a number of choices in terms of airport transfer. The journey by road from Antalya to Belek is approximately 35-40 minutes but this can vary depending on traffic. Taxis are available from the airport and there are many companies that offer shuttle transfers to Belek from Antalya.
